School Games Gold Mark Award

Chiltern Hills Academy have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2025/2026 academic year.
We are delighted to announce that we, Chiltern Hills Academy, have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Our sporting achievements this year include:
- Increased variety of fixture opportunities for intra and inter-school sport
- First school Water Sports trip
- School Sports Tour for a variety of teams
- Re-established the School Ski trip
- Winning Year 8 Bronze District Netball League, and were promoted!
- Increased engagement in intra-school sport (now a 3rd of all students)
- Equal Access School Award (2025) for Girls Football
- Competing in new inter-school sports fixtures
- Increased number and variety of KS2 festivals led by our Year 9 Level 2 community Sports Leaders
With an increasing number of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible. As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
A special thank you to my PE Team: Mr Muddiman, Mr Sperring, Miss Cross as well as Mr Clifford (our trainee), Miss Frankham, Miss Western and Mr Petrovic (our amazing support staff volunteers).
We look forward to applying once again in 2027!
Mr Callender
