GCSE Results Day 2025

P R E S S R E L E A S E

“Students celebrate improved results across English, maths and many other subjects!”

Students, staff and parents across the school community are celebrating today after a significant rise in GCSE results at Chiltern Hills Academy. This marks a culmination of hard work, determination and progress by students in Year 11.

This year the number of students achieving Grade 5 or higher in both English and maths has increased an impressive 50% compared to last year. This is a clear indication of the focused efforts made by students and the dedicated support of staff at the school. These core subjects are a key indicator of success, and the leap in performance highlights a renewed drive towards excellence at the school.

In addition to this improvement in English and maths, overall GCSE and BTEC outcomes have also seen an improvement, with students across most subjects achieving higher grades than in 2024. The consistent progress in both academic and vocational pathways demonstrates the strength of the school’s broad curriculum and the commitment to meeting the needs of every learner.

Mr Dobbs and staff at the school have praised students for demonstrating their resilience, motivation and maturity throughout the academic year. Parents and carers have also played a vital role in encouraging and supporting students with their studies and in the lead-up to the exams.

“This year’s results are a testament to the hard work of our Year 11 students, the tireless commitment of our staff, and the unwavering support from families,” said the school’s Principal, Mr Dobbs. “We are immensely proud of everything that our students have achieved.”

As students now look ahead to sixth form, college, or other pathways, they do so with a strong foundation and the confidence that they can succeed. Today’s results reflect not just academic progress, but the strength of a community working together to raise aspirations and deliver success.

The enrolment for students who wish to join the Sixth Form at Chiltern Hills begins today, if you are a student seeking a place for Y12 study then please email the Head of Sixth Form – Mrs A Hemsworth: ahemsworth@chacademy.co.uk for further information.
