World Book Day

World Book Day - Dress as a Literary Character Day!

This year marked a special milestone for our school as we embraced Dress as a Literary Character Day for the first time in eight years—and what a spectacular return it was! The corridors were alive with colour, creativity, and beloved characters from across the world of literature. From classic heroes and mythical creatures to modern favourites, it was inspiring to see such enthusiasm from both students and staff.

The energy across the school was incredible, with costumes sparking conversations, laughter, and a shared love of reading. It was wonderful to witness our community come together to celebrate the power of stories and the joy they bring to all ages.

A huge thank you to every student and member of staff who took part, supported the event, or helped bring the magic of World Book Day to life. Your creativity and enthusiasm made the day a truly unforgettable success.

World Book Day - Scavenger Hunt and Book Tokens

For World Book Day the library ran a “Find the Emoji Book Title” scavenger Hunt around school. This was a lot of fun for the children and those that completed it will be getting house points and a prize! Every child was also given a book token to exchange for a free book from any local bookshop or participating supermarket.
