At Chiltern Hills Academy we encourage our students to travel in ways that are healthy, safe and considerate to others. Choosing how to get to school isn’t just about convenience — it’s also about promoting wellbeing, protecting the environment and showing respect for our wider community.
We have plenty of bike storage on site and warmly encourage students to cycle. It’s a great way to stay active and start the school day with energy.
To keep everyone safe, students will need a signed Cycle to School Permit, which can be collected from Student Services. We ask that all cyclists wear helmets, follow the Highway Code and lock their bikes securely.

We know that for some families travelling by car is the most practical option. If you are dropping off or collecting your child, please help us keep our site and local roads safe by following these guidelines:

Promoting active and safe travel to school supports our values of respect, responsibility and self-discipline. It helps our young people develop healthy habits for life, reduces our environmental impact and strengthens our partnership with the local community.

Together, we can make the journey to school safer, healthier and more sustainable for everyone.
