House System

At Chiltern Hills Academy, our House System brings our school community together, fostering teamwork, leadership, and a healthy sense of competition. Introduced in 2024/25, the system gives every student and member of staff the chance to belong to one of our seven Houses, each proudly named after an inspirational figure who reflects one of our Academy’s core values.

Students wear their House colours on their ties, creating a strong sense of identity and pride. Throughout the year, our Houses compete in a wide variety of events – from sport and the arts to academic challenges and community activities – celebrating achievement in every area of school life.

    Student Leadership

House Captains, chosen from Year 10, play a key role in leading their peers and supporting the organisation of events. Working alongside staff, they help ensure that the House System provides opportunities for all students to contribute, have fun, and excel.

    • Achievement – celebrating excellence in classwork, homework, and assessments.
    • Participation – joining in school events, clubs, and extra-curricular activities.
    • Attendance and punctuality – showing commitment to school life.
    • Community spirit – demonstrating kindness, respect, and support for others.
